Morning All;

I want to replace a Manrose gold VMG100T ceiling fan that has failed in my bathroom. when I remove the cover, the wiring colour coming in to the fan is Blue, Yellow and Red. I want to fit an inline fan that has Live, switched live and neutral, but I am unsure which of these wires is which, can anyone help please?

Cheers
Tor Fey

With UK lighting believe it or not there is no specific wiring colours, it is up to the person installing it what colours they use for what.
If you look at a ceiling rose you will often find that one of the blacks is Live, yes it should have a red marker but often they don't, so the black is Live.

You do have the answer to your question in front of you, but as I am not there, it is hard to see. One of your pictures shows the fan label markings (L N S/L) move the label next to your incoming wires and there is your answer.

Thanks as lot for your quick reply, so in theory, this could be the correct way to wire it?

If your wiring is set up / Configured as red is permanently live, yellow is switched live & blue is neutral then yes, if your wiring is not configured this way then no.
