I have to say that I am not that interested in the World Cup this time around. It is a shite location and I suspect a lot of English fans will fall foul of the stone age attitudes and laws of this backward country. The English team will undoubtedly disappoint and I have to say that the game is no longer what it was. I have been watching the Italia 90 World cup documentary and that was football. That po faced Southgate gets on my t its too.

Aye I've been watching the Toon quite a lot seeing as my son is a ST holder at SJP so need a common interest. Never move away from my beloved Celtic though of course.

Howe's done a fantastic job and I must admit I was in two minds when he was linked to Celtic. I thought he was one of those managers who does well keeping clubs up like Allerdyce, Bruce etc but may be a different manager when challenging for titles, but he's surprised me. He's a fantastic coach.

The latter end of the season will tell but hopefully you'll stay clear of injuries.

I still think they'll move for someone else at some point as Howe as no experience in the CL. I hope I'm wrong because I believe he deserves a crack at it.

As for England ABE 😂

I think everyone knows UEFA sold their soul for money but then I say that about Sky. I read most hotels are charging £80 a pint 👀

Fin, watch the Geoff Hurst documentary on Sky about his part in the 66 World Cup. What a gentleman and how shabbily he was treated in the years that followed.

i really hope they stick with howe now. hes done class. hes turned an entire squad around. it wasnt that long back where steve bruce declared that he wished he had better players. now eddie howe has coached an entire team into being much much better players. yea certainly trippier and guimaraes have made a massive difference to how we play. But also the likes of joelinton, almiron, schar were all so poor under bruce but theyre all playing absolutely Fuc$ing mint with a bit of decent coaching. schar wasnt even considered for selection as bruce couldnt trust him. now hes a mainstay of the tightest defence in the premier league.

he certainly deserves a shot at european competition. if newcastle do indeed qualify. Looking back over the season so far we have been beaten once so far. that was the liverpool game. we could have gone 2-0 up but for a what was it a shadow on the screen when they were searching for offside? there was also the game where newcastle had a goal ruled out becaise the oposition player pushed the newcastle player into the opositions goalkeeper. Theres been some harsh decisions that robbed us of a few more points i reakon.

Ya f*ck... £80 a pint. ill stick to watching the matches at the westoe or the ashley

Not completely ignore it, but I'm not as excited as usual, dunno why ... maybe the time of year ?

Agree that Mr. Howe has turned NUFC around, that and the change of ownership.

I really enjoy watching Newcastle play ... although only on Match of the day.

class going from a dangerous situation in defence to putting the ball in the other teams net. if we can keep it up and keep our top players fit then itll get interesting come the end of the season. man city have lost twice and almost dropped points at fulham recently only for haaland to pop up with a super late winner. weve both gotta play arsenal too i think... certainly newcastle have to play arsenal twice.

I see that a no beer rule in the stadium order has been set in Qatar. That's enough reason not to go.

Another good documentary on Sky is Gascoigne. It is a really good programme that gives you an insight into his talent and problems which brings it all into perspective. An honest account that at the end of the programme you can appreciate the guy more after all the tabloid shite may have guided your thoughts.

yea that would be canny like. he does seem to at times get grief when he has clearly got a lot of problems to deal with.

some of the stories about him are absolutely hillarious. that one where he was in training at tottenham and the ball went over the fence and he said he would go and get it. and returned 24 hours later saying i got it

What an idiot, that is a good example for hard up families. I used to like Joe Lycett but he has become a bit of an activist t*at of late.
