Honey Fungus

We have felled a cherry tree which seems to have been infected with honey fungus.

In autumn there are numerous fungi appear which follow the root system.

Should the stump and roots be removed? Is there any treatment we can use to kill the fungus?

Try (if you can source it as now discontinued) Armillatox which is most effective against Honey Fungus,
