Downflow heater

Hi all
When wireing the downflow heater the y say to use a double pole switch ,would I have to put the cable coming from ceiling into the live and neutral on heater and would I have to put trunking to hide cable fom ceiling to top of heater

The use of a double pole switch is to isolate Live and Neutral at the same time (when the isolator is pressed.) So long as it is connected before the item it is to isolate it does not matter where it goes.
Trunking is your choice.
