Multiple walls showing marks through paint

Post by rich99uk »

Hi all
I painted my living room and bedroom about a year ago now I have multiple walls showing shadows through the paint.
I don't beleive its damp it's on Internal and external walls.
Any advise would be great.
I didn't prime the walls before overpainting.

The marks look to be over filled cracks. More info please, recently re-plastered ? Type of emulsion used ?

Maybe more photos. My guess is that it is some freehand decoration under the grey that is showing through. Sometimes even a change of texture can show up. But this looks like a little small amount of grease or oil leaking through. Stain block the lines before painting next time. Use a mini roller so as to keep the texture in keeping with the rest of the wall.
