Tiling over tiles in a bathroom

This is my first post. I'm sure this question must have been asked before but I could not find the thread..............so here goes.

Tiling over tiles in a bathroom, is it recommended and what are the advantages and disadvantages?

Not recommended but can be dome with the right materials
