Hi all! Had this generator for quite a while , but only used it every now and again , not very often really . Was using it the other day to power a compressor and the voltage output just stopped … any ideas how to fix it ?
It’s always been crap to be honest , never outputted nearly as much as it says it’s meant to.
Thanks loads for the help,
Toby

Does the engine still run? if not check oil and fuel, if its just not giving any power it could be the rectifier, but could be easy to replace, Iam sure one of our trusted sparkies will be along soon.

Might be a loose wire, diagnosing anything remotely is always hit and miss, without a wiring diagram I would say it is NOT an electricians job, a bit like saying get a plumber to fix a washing machine, it uses water and has pipes doesn't it?
It really needs a specialist who deals with them everyday, just like a washing machine needs a specialist.

Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

The engine runs fine , fuel and oil fine , just the power generation dropped out , the analog volt meter on the front of the unit reading no voltage and it won’t power anything plugged into it
