what to do with worktop offcuts?
Hi
I have 3 pieces of 30mm chipboard laminate kitchen worktops in my garage for the last 4 years, about 1000 x 620. I tried to give away for free but no takers. So asking here, what can one do with such before taking them to the local tip?

I have hoarded bits and pieces over the years and think they might come in handy, they never do. I guess that somewhere someone would perhaps need a bit of worktop to make a work surface in a shed perhaps. As a last ditch put them on Gumtree for £1, buyer collect. If no takers in a couple of months dump them.

I use it for mounting tools that can then be clamped down to a workbench. You can add castors to make a moving dolly. Good to have a piece that matches your kitchen as a worktop saver. Great for making shed workbench tops or shelves. It's handy stuff if you are a handy person.

Laminate covered worktops are no good as a chopping board. They would soon score. and break up. The solid wood ones would be okay, but they would be too thick for the average persons taste. Dunelm have a three board set for £8
