The issue you may have is that many of these wood dealers will only sell whole sawn boards and you may be lucky to get offcuts but it would be a gamble. This firm might be worth a look https://www.exotichardwoods.co.uk/Contact_Us/index.asp they do smaller orders and are based in Kent. They do internet orders though. I recall many years ago sourcing a small order of a rare wood, I cannot recall the species, for an antique restoration project, I did for my friend. I guess much depends on how much and what type of wood you need as it might be worth having a whole board cut into a number of workable lengths. Not much help here.

Exotic wood dealers?
thinking out side the box
tree surgeon /lumberjack/3fellas
a wood yard will see loads off time and effort way way above the sales generated
best just to turn up with a packet off chocolate hobnobs a beer/coffee /tea voucher and avoid the sales area

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
