I'm not clued up in F1. However on the news tonight they were saying that Donnington is going to have state of the art facilities. This is why they decided to move it.

Is the track narrower than silverstone?

from what i read in the f1 forums, silverstone is a dump. The new raod hasnt helped much, and the traffic on race day is still at least a 1 hr wait in and out.

will report back, as we are just about to leave for silverstone, have seats across from the pits and theres qualifying, Porsche racing, and GP2 race today.

Its bloody raining again :cussing:

Weegie
not sure but certainly looks like it and not a lot of overtaking in cars

Silverstone used to be a nightmare for traffic ,not as bad now
i was there they year they had it in april and we had all that rain ,was stuck trying to get out for 4 hours ..yep 4 hours before i even got out the circuit

Donnington will have the same problems with traffic if not worse as on a bike race day its a nightmare and thats with thousands of people turning up on bikes ,imagine when its all cars turning up

Silverstone has improved over the years but not as quick as Bernie wanted it to and the trouble is Bernie doesnt like Silverstone

we will see ,anyway have a good day Handyman
