How to wire Hive Multizone into Ecotec Pro 28 Combi Boiler?

Post by Rhodog2612 »

Hi all,

I am wanting to install a Hive Heating System to my Vaillant Ecotec Pro 28 Combi Boiler, which currently has 2 zones set up - one for upstairs, and the other for downstairs. We have 2 thermostats to control these zones, but are wanting to replace these with Hive thermostats if possible.

After doing some research and watching some tutorials, I am confident that I can install a single receiver to the boiler and get that up and running with the thermostat, but installing the multizone part is what confuses me, as 2 receivers are necessary in this case.

Does a second receiver need to be wired to a particular place I assume?

If anyone could provide me with some advice on this, I would be very grateful!

Please see the attached image of the current wiring on the boiler PCB itself in its' current state.

Any help would be great!

Kind Regards
Jay
