Tiling plaster board

Post by Redculver »

Hello this is my first post and seeking advise on tiling onto plasterboard. The plaster board wall is in a bathroom and not subject to any water.I plan using subway tiles up to a height of 1.2m.There are some low areas on the plasterboard that probably require levelling before tiling.I did not want to back butter tiles to avoid undulations. Can someone advise on a quick drying compound that can be used to level the low areas before tiling. Many thanks.

Unless it is like the Himalayas you should be able to level it out with the adhesive. Use a deep notched trowel to give tall beads to allow leveling out using the adhesive. see https://www.protilertools.co.uk/categor ... ls/trowels for variants
