Can't type on facebook

I don't often post on facebook but earlier today I put a post on there. I used my phone as I was attaching a photo and all went well. This evening on the ipad I noticed so.e friends had replied so I in turn tried to reply to them . That's where I encountered the problem. When I tried to type in a response it deleted any letter as soon as I tried to put in another leaving only the last typed letter. I could still answer via the phone. I've tried logging out of facebook , refreshing it and turning off and on again but the problem has remained. Anyone with a bit more tech knowledge have any thoughts?

Doesn't seem to be . I'm largely a one finger typer so it's not as if I'm hitting anything elseat the same time. Also only affects facebook on the ipad as I'm typing this on it

Delete fb, switch off ipad, switch on, re install fb

Right I've had another play and have now got on to Facebook with f lite rather than the silk browser I was using previously and it seems to be working. Thanks for taking the time to answer.Irony is that this is the first time I've posted anything in nearly a year other than one post the previous week.
