Olympics

Post by Hoovie »

Don't know about you guys, but most of the Olympics bores me to death.

Track .... Zzzzzzzzzz
Field ....... Slightly less Zzzzzzzzzz
Gymnastics .... Zzzzzzzzzz
Swimming .... Zzzzzzzzzz
Etc.

Shooting & Archery I watch, plus the Cycling. :thumbright:
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I have never got how THE event that everyone seems never to shut up about is the one that is over the quickest.

100M sprint - so you prepare for 4 years for 10 seconds of your life :? Get a life!

Is it still the case that the Host Country can introduce a new sport into the games? Like Beach Volleyball in Oz?

If that still happens, what new one is the London games going to have?

Watched the olympics this morning and BMX riding was on :wtf: :?

I like watching cycling but BMX. NO,NO.

Then pressed the menu button to notice Softball.

There are other events which should never be in the olympics like:-

Synchronised swimming.

Handball.

Rythmic Gymnastics.

Thy should bring Tug of war back into the olympics :naka:

I think the cycle sprint race (?) where two riders play cat and mouse is bloody boring, I know we won medals but FFS get on with it :cussing: :cussing:

My two laugh when I shout "Stop fannying around and get on with it for goodness sake". Why don't they just get stuck into the race? Pointless in my opinion.

Sorry Bludall, Kerbie,

I don't know if it is a Glaswegian thing. It is where two youngsters stand facing each other at either side of the road and through a ball across the road and try to hit the kerb with the ball. If the ball bounces off his kerb and lands on you side of the road, then you stand in the middle of the road and have 5 shots to hit the kerb. First one to 10 is the winner :thumbright:

Does that make sense

I always played it when i was a kid.

Synchronised mugging? Racing to find a spirit/mixer for under a fiver? M25 dodging without a satnav?
