need help with attachments and resizing

Post by bobbie-dazzler »

I tried to follow the link to the video on how to do attachments, I did try on my own, but was too big, so thought I would watch the vid.
But it goes all funny on me, it comes up saying, 'how to resize pictures' but it carries on scrolling up and down, and I cant make head or tail of it. :?

Can someone just write it, in the most simplist terms please.
I would rather want something I dont have, that have something I dont want

The easiest way to resize pictures is to use either Microsoft Image Resizer (Powertoy) for XP or if you are using Vista then use VSO Image Resizer. Both are free products and very easy to use.

Microsoft Image Resizer
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... ySetup.exe

VSO Image Resizer

That is what I always use as it by far the quickest and easiest way to get the job done, especially if all you want to do is get the pics small enough to post on t'internet
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Bobbie you can use Paint - click Image then Attributes and you'll see a box where you can change the picture size using pixels, cms or inches. HTH :)
Tina

If I can't fix it with a hammer it's an electrical fault.

I don't think that will work, because it doesn't on my computer- I just end up with a small piece of what I started with

If you can't see the tutorial that I made then you might be able to see this one-

Auntiepink is right that you can use paint, but missed something out

If you use Image then Attributes and out in the size you want, you end up cropping stuff to the right and bottom of your pic, which is probably NOT what is wanted.

How you do this in Paint is to goto Image BUT then goto Stretch/Skew
If you then select the same percentage for Horizontal and Vertical, then you end up with a smaller - but complete - version of your pic.

I have used Paint exactly like that to resize pics, but for posting purposes, I now just use powertoy resizer as you can do a whole bunch of photos with just two mouse clicks.

I just use Photostudio 5.5, came with the scanner, so simple to use, takes seconds. :thumbright:
