Women!
You'd think I'd be used to it by now, having known Mrs M for nigh on 35 years, but even now she manages to amaze me. I was working out the layout for the tiles on the third wall in the bathroom, when I realised that there are 6 tiles that form a picture to include, but I hadn't decided whether to centre it to the bath or the whole wall, it makes a difference whether I start with a a whole tile or 3/4 of one. So I made a mistake, I asked Mrs M. She then said she wanted a tiled ledge all round the bath, not the bath against the walls as I had planned. So it's settled, the bath and the picture will both be centred to the wall. And she doesn't want the glass partition I wanted at the head end of the bath. I'll tell her that it will need a stout frame to support the tiles, so I'm getting a proper saw to cut the timber for it. Not only that, she can't make up her mind where she wants me to fit the heated towel rail, and though I have stuck some masking tape to the wall to show the two options, she can't imagine it, and wants me to set up the rail so she can judge what she prefers.
I started out with nothing, I still have most of it.

I'll give her the choice, then I can have some fun when she makes the wrong one.

It is her business, she'll probably be putting up with the decision longer than I shall.SodMod wrote:Tell her to fook off and mind her own business

I'd never hear the end of it. Just as well that the electric UFH hasn't been done yetBludall wrote:Mooncat, do you have no say in it then? Poor man, I feel sorry for you. You'd have been better doing it and just showing Mrs M the finished result, no going back then.

I can beat you all hands down with what my OH puts me through, this is just one example...
It took my OH three weeks to decide between brown or black for the soil stack and external waste piping.
I then got Polypipe to do the design and send me a sample of the brown pipe.
It arrives, the OH looks at it - says it's horrible and dissapears upstairs and rumages about for a few minutes.
She comes back down with a brown jumper and says I want this shade of brown.
So I calmly stated that if she could find another supplier that could do the design and supply all the fittings needed in the RIGHT SHADE OF BROWN I would happliy order it and do the work. Until then I was downing tools.
Three days later it turns out Polypipes shade of brown was actually quite nice

Nothing you do is a waste of time - especially if it can be used as a bad example by others...
