the new dewalt nano range batteries will work with the old excisting dewalt range i.e new drill with nano battery, battery will work with old drill , IS this the same for makita

not shure but i know dewalt are renown for keeping the fittings the same

others are not

Nope, Makita have changed the battery fitting from the NiCad / Ni-MH range to the Li-Ion range.

New Style Li-Ion battery - slide on
