Flow Regulator on dashboard
I THINK thats what its called!
Anyway, the three dials, one radiates heat/air to given location ie drivers' feet/drivers face/windscreen etc, the second is cold to hot and the third little swine is 0-4.
Now 0 is off, I have NO 1 or 2 at all, and 3 works fine, albeit a blustery noise.
Why do 1 and 2 not work? Is there an easy DIY solution ie WD40 squirt necessary or is it something 'expensive'?

take off the glove box and you will see the blower fan housing; dismantle this, the fan should be a centrifugal type. once you have take this apart you should be able to see a unit that has either 2 wires or 3 "wires" on. the thinnest wire will be burnt out. this controls positions 1 & 2 on the fan control.
those wires heat up when you turn the fans on; you'll know when you see it which bit im on about. you just need to get to a scrapper and get a replacement; im not entirely 100% on this but i think the ones from the rover 45/400 and the honda civic ones fit too.
you could replace the wire but may need advise from a spark as to which "thickness (hence resistance?)" to get...
