best silicone for granite

Post by sparkydude »

Hi all, had my worktops fittted by someone recently , they came back today to fit the upstands while i was at work, came home and they had made a right **** of the job, have removed them all myself, and will put them back properly this time. What is the best silicone to use to seal the joints and also to stick the upstands to the wall. The sealant i have been told is a neutral cure one, as it will not stain the granite just wanted to know if there was a specific best one to use.

Thanks

Nick
If it isnt broke dont bloody touch it until it bloody well is and if it is broke then make drawing of the connections before you remove the broken one and replace with a new one LoL

You are supposed to use a nuetral curing silicone for all natural stone, not many do and personally I've never had a problem using a standard silicone.

If you want to go the recommended route then Howtex stoneset silicones are all neutral curing
