what does it take to get reconized in a sport?

Post by paintpot »

If in other sports the uk take gold medals, which is rare as rocking horse s@'[t, it gets covered all over the box, bowles and other so called sports?, show jummping.
Now we as a nation are top,s when it comes to world match angling, we have a string of gold medals to prove it, inperticular, the great bob nudd, will raison, the list goes on, but not once ever, has it been shown on tv, news ect.
Yes angling is not everyones cup of tea, its looked apon a old fart,s sport, but times are changing, theres a lot of young people takeing the sport up.
It gets kids off the streets causing trouble and getting into trouble, gets them off platstions and game consouls ect, theres so many bennifits, learnning weights, wildlife and repecting there surrroundings, and being out in the fresh air.
But it just get,s me realy wound up when its not reconized when we are the best in the world in a sport, gold medals to prove it and get nothing, didly sqot.
Any other fisherman and there views. :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

But to be called a sport they should dig a large hole in the ground fill it with water and add ONE 50lb Pike.

Each competitor then gets 30mins to catch it.

Ah, the athletic endeavours of men in thigh length wellies. If they make angling an olympic event then they should probably make bingo one too.

Fishing is a bit of a Lottery so you could combine the two, for example you could play one whilst waiting for something to happen with the other.

Perhaps putting numbers on the fish then if you catch one, they call the number out. :thumbright:
