Waterproofing inside garage
Now the summers here and i can empty everything out...
I have a garage thats built out of blocks, one side where it joins neighbours there was no room to render the outside. When it rains heavy the blocks get damp on the inside. I am looking for some sort of paint coating that i can apply and it will seal the inside. Then i can paint that wall white like the rest.
What sort of stuff should i be looking for or can anybody recommend something?

Would be better if you could paint the outside with that water proofing liquid, no idea what it's called but it looks like paraffin, if access is impossible I suppose if you put enough on it would soak through anyway.
Must find out it's called as my garage does the same thing, mind the roof leaks like a sieve at the moment, I had a peacock doing a war dance all over the clay single Roman pan tiles

There is about a 1 foot gap but can't see how i could possibly get in there or a tool to get in there.
Really need an internal solution.
Just seen this, so looks like there is stuff out there

Yeah that is probably your best bet if you're unable to do any external protection. Although you'll need to do about 3 coats and you'll have to render over it afterwards before painting the wall.lagi wrote:Just seen this, so looks like there is stuff out there

As Scruff says you need to tackle this from the outside, just coating the inside will trap the moisture inside the blocks and probably move it further along the wall, if you can't render outside then i would coat with synthaprufe, if it is going to be seen then maybe waterseal and paint with weathershield or similar
If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments..
