What Tiles should I use?

Hello there

I have recently fitted a pot bellied stove, but have noticed that the plaster behing it is cracking due to the heat.

I am looking at fixing tiles behind to stop this. What type of tiles should I use and do i need to use any special type of adhesive.

Any help appreciated.
