Main equipotential bonding

Post by Iggy13 »

I am in the process of installing a new consumer unit, which is loacted in the garage and will be connecting the gas pipe to it with 10mm2 main equipotential bonding cable. My problem is that the entry point for mains water into the house is in the kitchen, which is some distance away to the consumer unit. Can someone please advise me if I have to run a 10mm2 bonding lead from the mains pipe in the kitchen back to the consumer unit, ignore this connection or is there a another method. Thanks.

i am afraid the main water bond has to go onto the water main within approx 600mm of entry to the premises, and before any T offs.

If it isnt broke dont bloody touch it until it bloody well is and if it is broke then make drawing of the connections before you remove the broken one and replace with a new one LoL
