penatrating damp

Post by couchie »

Hi
We have a very damp exterior wall. Im sure the problem is penatrating damp. Its an old house, solid stone walls, The outside ground is about 4' up from floor level, I intend to dig a trench outside, put a perforated pipe down, fix a membrane on the wall & then backfill.

Is this the right thing to do & what would you recomend I use as a membrane.

Thanks. Chris
