Can somebody give me a rough height that adding kitchen floor tiles (the most common size) and adhesive adds to a floor?

Also i am laying a new floor to stick these on. T/G m/r chipboard or wbp ply, the first being preference as easier for me to collect and any left over i can use elsewhere. Any problems with using this???

It depends what tiles you are using. Some natural stone tiles are much thicker than porcelain tiles.

If there is already a wooden floor down you can rip it up and replace it with 25mm WBP if you are concerned about the height of the new floor.

There are floorboards down which i shall be removing but i can only put back down 18mm. As i don't have the height at the end of the room. So its either ply or t/g chipboard.

I thought the chipboard will be easiest to lay down on the joists.

Ply is better........more stable.

Assuming your talking of your average tile..........which can be around 8mm-10mm. Then cement.....6mm-8mm
