Got a porch to sort.
Single skin block wall + single glazed windows - lots on condensation on external walls.
I'm thinking of fitting a couple of non-electrical auto vents to get some air-flow through the area and take out some of the damp air - will this help?
Because of the design of the porch I' be looking at one vent at head height and another around 1m from the floor - not ideal, but worth doing?
Are there any better ways (other than knocking the whole shambles down and staring again) to solve condensation prob's like this?
Thanks for your help!

these external walls, no insulation!
a good way to stop condensation forming on a cold surface is to make it a warm surface i.e. insulate it..
if youve got the room and the inclination (not to mention a bit of extra cash) it may be worth battening with 25x50 slate lath, inserting 25mm cellotex between, covering that with polythene vapour barrier then boarding over and skimming it..
that, coupled with the vents will stop it on the walls, then its just the windows, double glazing will help but youll still need trickle vents...
best thing is stopping water vapour getting to the porch in the first place as stoday mentioned earlier, he couldnt be more correct, having some rubber draught excluder pinned round the front internal door and possibly even some stick on foam draught excluder round the letter plate will help enormously..
is the floor tiled? is the floor insulated? that'll be the next cold surface the water will find... black mould abound...
im with stodays suggestion in the first instance, then see about the rest...

All my advice should be taken with a rather large pinch of salt, all the gear, absolutely no idea whatsoever ;)
