Failed damp proof

This is my first post, be gentle with me :)

I have just bought my first home, i have just started removing the wall paper and have noticed that the walls are wet, it had a damp proof injected just over 29yrs ago and suprisingly enough the company went bust in 1988.
If i was to re-inject the walls (2 internal and 1 party) which way would be best?
I know that you can hire the machine and do it or you can get stuff in like the tubes you get selant in. But which one? also can i reuse the existing holes in the masonry or will i have to re-drill some new ones?

To be honest i would get a company in to re-do it as you will get a guarantee plus the material used nowadays is far better than it used to be

It is also important to re-plaster the walls with sand/cement and added salt retarder.

i have had an initial look at the problem, i dont think that it is rising damp, i think the it may be due to efflorescence behind the plaster attracting moisture and causing the moisture to absorb in the plaster making it damp?!

would something like this http://www.screwfix.com/prods/38631/Bui ... Seal-750ml be ok to paint on the wall then either re-plaster or dry line over the top?
