Michael Schumacher signs up for Mercedes

Post by skiking »

Surprise, surprise, he's actually signed up for Brawn, errm sorry, Mercedes.

TBH I think he will out perform most on the grid even if he is an OAP. It will be good to see the sour kraut back on the grid

Ferrari have gone and blown it now.

I am glad the 'old man' is back. Gives me a chance to get back to watching my favourite sport (especially with Rafa letting my team down so badly. How we didn't win the title last season, I'll never know. If we finish 6th this year, we'd have done ''well'').

It will be nice to see the fright on the faces of Button & Hamilton as the old chaps' Mercedes appears in their rear view mirrow  panic time and unforced errors will be riffe. Bring it on!

Ok, so he's a German, but guess what? He's good in what he does. Give him a Minnadi (not there anymore?), and he'll win the race. :boxing:

Schumi was very much on the pace when testing for Ferrari earlier in the year and this was in the previous years car! The guy is a fitness freak so he will be ok there. In a straight (boring) race it will come down to the manufacturers put in an accident strewn or rain affected race then the others will need to watch out.

I don't think he will will the title but I do think he will will the odd race. Unfortunately F1 is not about how well you can drive but also how good the overall car is in terms of reliability and the 'special' features a manufacturer can put on the car that gives an edge over their rivals

Ok Scruff, my £10 is placed.

I guarantee he finishes the season alright. Yes, its unlikely he'll finish at the top, but as mentioned earlier, he's bound to win the odd race

This guy is as good as they come. People will say ''its becos he's given a good (Ferrari) car''. My response, where was Ferrari b4 Schumi joined them?

Not only is this chap super fit, he is extremely smart in the way he goes about his business. When he used 2b at Ferrari, even when he's leading the race by miles, he still finds time to find out from the pit crew how the backmarkers are performing etc. WHY???

He turns up at the pit when his crew are not expecting him?

Schumi, Ross Brawn, it is the perfect winning team. Sruff, you just lost a tenner mate :-P :boxing:

Fighting talk.

We have to understand the meaning of 'I guarantee he finishes the season alright.' - is that the top 4 or top 6 - before the bet is placed.

BTW - Both are more than Liverpool will finish

Thanks a lot Skiking, python.

I am not going to watch any football matches again!
- Tottenham 4th
- Aston Villa 5th
- Man City 6th
- Birmingham City 7th
- LFC 8th, Lower than 8th??????

Where did Mr Raffa go wrong???

My interest now is in Schumi anyway!
Schumi, the Rain Doctor,
Ross Brawn, the Master Tactician,
Only one outcome, a winning team.

My £10 stands. When clarification of ''will he finish the season'' has been determined, then the bets can start comming in!
Scruff will be incharge. Shame he'll loose

I would wager that schumi will finish in the top 5 drivers in points at the end of the season for even money.

I refuse to watch anymore games or phone any friends who might be in a hurry to give me the results?

As a matter of fact, I better get off the forum now or I can see you rubbing salt into injury :angryfire:
