When they say "they won't be beaten on price", I'll bet it doesn't include other stores sale prices

just back from BnQ with another bargain batch of insulation :thumbright:

Steve the gas will obviously pay 4 times the amount of money for the same product, just because its bnq thats selling it cheap

I would think they will match it. Never matched with a sale price before. They have matched with the screwfix trade desk many times with me.

What do you find cheaper in B&Q Handyman. I have always found them to be dearer but not extortinate.

Bought a Fluidmaster Toilet Cistern Bottom Entry Float Valve last week.

Wickes; £10
B&Q: £11
Screwfix: £8.94

if a screwfix/toolstation trade desk is near, then you will get it for £8.94. Bnq is much easier to get to for me as its 8 miles closer, and is open till 9pm. If you have a trade card, you get 2 months to pay, and if you have a trade discount card you get a bit more off.

The insulation deal is cheap, 200mm thick, triple roll, £5

The sheets of ply (I think its bbc grade) are ok on price, but again its more so its handy, as they cut it for free as you wait.

The end aisle deals can be hard to beat at times.

My plasterer only uses bnq warehouse as bnq stuff (all trade names) is the cheapest around, and he can go after work, and the place is still open.

The bulk bags of sand etc are again an ok price (a few ££ in it when your only buying 1), but they deliver it for free, when the order is over £50 and you pay with a trade card.

Bnq obviously cant compete with single trade bulk buying prices

I use B&Q quite a bit as its open late and I can browse the products. Toolstation is not open late and screfix have a £50 min for free delivery. Also, some of the screwfix stuff is sh#t. I bought a 100m coil of telephone cable and is bol#x the outer sheath cuts very easy

I do actually prefer wickes. I think they are generally cheaper and and better "own" brand products. Wickes do better plumbing waste that B&Q but selection is limited

What a lot of people dont realise is you can actualy get a discount from these stores, B&Q, Wicks etc on almost any product any day of the week, you just have to ask, when you want to spend a few hundred quid approach a manager and just ask. 80% of the time this has worked for me!

Cheers
