car radio image broken

Hi All,
I have the Nissan micra car radio the display there are some broken digit as the image is not clear or you can clearly see the wording.

What could it be.

Unfortunately the display has had it. A new liquid crystal display module would be difficult to get hold of and it would be too expensive to try to pull the radio apart and replace it. These are seen as unserviceable units really. Try your local car breaker for a second hand radio if it bugs you that much.

Ah well, the radio and the cassette is working, so i am not bothered about changing it will live with it, as i thought it was something nothing.

Not sure what hapened there, think i hit the wrong button :lol:

That looks like a standard DIN size stereo, 2" x 7". I gather you dont have a dash board readout, what about steering wheel controls, probably not....

In which case, it shouldnt be a big job to fit an after market stereo, if you wished. You may need a nissan ISO adapter, dont know anything about them, may already be ISO plugs on the loom.

Thanks for the information Hitch.

I will change it if it does not work, as i am not really worried if does not get fixed now.
