Acetylene cylinders are filled with a porous material, not sure what it is, it is there to absorb the acetone/aceylene mixture. Without it the cylinders would be very dangerous.
This is what could happen

Kapox, acetone is absorbed by the kapox and the acetylene is disolved in the acetone Open the valve, acetylene is released, the acetone is retained by the kapoxHitch wrote:Looks like its been cut in half with a gas torch![]()

Come and visit, the beers are on me!
