Birmingham

My roots are in the Midlands — Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. Everyone in engineering saw Birmingham as rivals, so:

A hammer was a "Birmingham Screwdriver"

"Brimingham Finish" was highly polished and deeply scratched.

I just wonder if anyone has other names to add to the list.
I should be dead; I've cheated the Grim Reaper yet again by surviving my third heart attack in June.
