We have a two year old Micra.
The car has no outside keyholes and all unlocking is done using the remote keyfob.
Question obviously arises how do you open the car if :_
a. keyfob battery fails?
b. Car battery is flat ?

best I could do...bit of plastic on the passenger side, remote fob will pull apart to reveal a mechanical key..probably tells you all this in the owners manual....which is no good at all if the manual is in the glove compartment..

What do the owners manuals say?
I can't imagine the manufacturers haven't covered this as an 'emergency' measure.

Re: Nissan Micra
I had a similar thought with my hire car, a 59 Astra. The boot lock is completley electric.
So you get a flat battery.... but you keep your jump leads in the boot

Re: Nissan Micra
I'm sure there must be a back-up in place somewhere.
Maybe a Stanley fatmax taped to the wheel arch.

Re: Nissan Micra
the keyhole is hidden iirc on the k12 micra its on the passenger door
just confirmed. you pop (iirc it slides back) the door handle trim (small bit) off and the keyhole should be there
