Over the past couple of years the damp on the kitchen walls has been getting worse and I couldn't find any cause for concern outside the house. I'm now in the first steps of re-doing the kitchen and when I removed the units I think I've found the reason.
The walls were skimmed plasterboard which were full of mould. After pulling off the plasterboard, I realised the problem. Some plank had used what can only be described as bin bags to create a waterproof membrane between the wall & the plasterboard
