Hi Kitkat,

It depends on how much you will be using them really!

I always buy the best tools that I can afford as I believe buying cheap tools is false economy. I have tried a few cheap tools for doing projects for this site and they are not much good and make the job much harder.

All of my electrical pliers are teng, which are a good make and have a lifetime guarantee. There are a couple more good makes of electrical hand tools such as Knipex and I believe Bahco also now make some.

You can often get good deals on teng here- http://www.teng.co.uk/

There are lots of people selling Knipex on ebay at good prices as well

I recently bought this Teng socket set from them :thumbright:

Just ordered an 18 piece 1000 volt insulated screwdriver and plier set by Teng for £85.

Is that reasonable or have they seen me coming?
