Add spark to your lovelife - get a hotel.
It not just DIYers that get it wrong, this was how the bathrooms in a Canary Island hotel were configured - hardwired mains hairdryers above the sink!

Designed to be able to cool it down quickly if it gets too hot when blowing your hair. Just fill sink with cold water and away you go!

Most hotels abroad are like that

I guess it is quick common, I just got back from New York and the hairdryer in the bathroom was exactly as above - at least the socket supplying it was an RCD one though!
