It's time for me to buy a new laptop. The one I'm currently using is 5 years old already. So, I'm going to sell it at eBay and I'll just a new one.
My budget is $1,200 - $1,500. Can I buy a MacBook with that?

I'm not sure where you are. You in the US?
There's a white one for $1,294.00 on Newegg.com and another in black with a 160BG hard drive selling for $1,494.00.
I can't see any different between the two exept the colour and the extra 40GB of hard drive space the black one has.
I don't know anything about laptops or Macbooks though so can't advise on what to go for.

Ok, I would certainly avoid compaq or HP, trust me it does make a big difference.tim'll fix it wrote:macs are horrible to use, dont be swayed by the fancy looking styling

Maybe try a Dell. Also since you're in the US, maybe wait until around July 4th, there might be some specials then. ;)
