Use masking tape on slate.

Hi - I'm about to grout a kitchen floor made of natural slate. I've sealed it twice and have flexable grout as everyone recommends. When I grouted the bathroom (same tiles) I made a bit of a mess with them and my wife had to clean them before we finally sealed everything

Would sticking masking tape of the edges of the tiles to stop the grout spilling over? The slate has a v riven surface so they are difficult to clean while grouting.

Hi Richard,

I guess the tape would help. I am not sure if the grout would harm the slate once they have been sealed though!

If it makes it easier for you then I would give it a go!
