Just have to fill another hole towards end of my job when the electricians usually come in and demolish the place

Trades should all have been in and out before any making good is done. That is not the electricians fault, it is down to the idiot running the jobs you are on. He is the one to blame for poor scheduling of works order.

of course the chock block must be fully enclosed in an accessable box
this off course may be the light fitting rose or other junction box
we are all ------------------still learning
