Hiya
We are just starting to get quotes for our kitchen. It is going to need a builder in first to level the floors (it is split level) but we wanted to know prices and lead times for kitchens before we rip the old one out.
I have had a quote from a nice man who supplies 'handmade' kitchens, solid pine carcases with painted wood doors - I like the look of the painted wood doors, and suspect pine built will be better than the usual laminated chipboard that howdens etc supply.
Does anyone have any experience of solid pine used in this way? I.e is it prone to splitting and warping, or is it indeed more solid and long lasting than the chipboard stuff?
Opinions greatly appreciated!!
Kitchen - opinions please!
