Bosch Tool Codes

Post by Hoovie »

Is there any logic to the names Bosch call their tools?

e.g.

GSR, GBH, GST, PSR, GHO, GDR, GWS, PMF, etc.

Then you got the numbers that follow - except for the cordless tools, the numbers are fairly random as well - or are they
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Perhaps it is German?

OK - I though the colour of the tool *sort* of did that - Blue for Professinal and Green for DIY and saw some Ps that were Green one that was Blue

Cheers.

EDIT: the 'P' tool that I thought was Blue was actually dark green (bad pic)
