Hi everyone

We have bought a Bosch PMF180E deluxe kit to help with grout removal.

According to the instructions the recommended tool to use is the ACZ85RT. Some of the tiles are very close together and given the thickness of this tool I am very likely to damage a tile.

So I can use the ACZ85RT where I think there is enough room for the tool to work but what would be the best way to remove grout where tiles are very close together with very little room to get between them.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

The ACZ85RT is the tile cutting blade. If the grout lines are not wide enough you will not be able to use it!

If you have an old wood cutting blade you could try using that as they are thinner.

There are examples in the papework showing that the ACZ85RT can be used for removing grout.

But given the brass coloured rough edges to the blade I am surprised that it can be used for cutting actual tiles. The blade is quite thick and the rough edge doesn't seem suitable for cutting tiles finely.

I actually have a tile to cut so you sure it is ok to use the ACZ85RT for this purpose?

It'll cut ceramic tiles but not porcelain.

There are much easier and quicker ways of cutting tiles but if you have nothing else one of these should do!

We bought a couple of white tiles to plug a gap and they need cutting to fit but have no idea what they are made of.

Is there an easy way to tell if a tile is ceramic or porcelain just by looking at it or feeling it?

try drilling a hole if ceramic it will drill fairly easy if porcelain you will know very quickly
