I have a ceramic tiled kitchen floor which is VERY slippery & needs some good quality safety flooring.Any advice on wether to remove them/board it or would a good thickness & quality hide grout lines from present tiles?.Any advice appreciated.I
would be covering a large kitchen of 14-16 sq meters

I wouldn't bother going to the bother of ripping them up. A decent thick vinyl will cover nicely.

Thanks Pete.I was advised yesterday that even a good thickess of quality vinyl would just sink into the grout areas after only a year or two..Hence asking for advice.I also forgot to ask what type of adhesive is need to lay a safety flooring vinyl of a minimum of 3-5 thickness.

To do it correctly you should take up the tiles but the next best thing would to be to SLC over the old tiles after roughing them up

As colour has suggested, best would be to level the floor with a decent self levelling compound, then use your vinyl as it'll dip down into the grout joints after a short time.
Just consider how much height you will be adding with this when you are doing it however.
