New Photo Printer Canon MP600R

Post by tim'll fix it »

I want a printer solely for printing photos up to A4 size

I have a colour laser for everyday use and I have an HP Photosmart 230 which is good but can only print 6x4

After some initial research I have discovered the Canon Pixma MP600R seems a resonable buy

my scanner is bust too so that kills two birds with one stone and its wireless so I can use it both from the pc and the lappy

Does anyone have any experience with it??

Dabs also seem to sell it but under a different code ?? They call it an MP610 why?

Tim, can't answer your question directly, but have you looked into the running costs of a Photoprinter putting out A4 copies on photopaper compared to using a commercial service like Jessops, Truprint, etc?

Home Photo Printing is very convenient but VERY expensive, esp on the larger sizes.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Fair Enough

As far as the commercial ones go, I think their prices start to look nice when you get a batch of 20-30+ prints anyway.

I read a review of Colour Inkjets in -I think - PC Pro magazine, but can't find it.

Check out this A4 Photo Printer review if you haven't already

And some more tests from PC Pro
