Any opinion on Milwaukee v18 hammer drill?

Post by Borderglazer »

Evening all,
I need to replace an ageing 18v hammer drill that the hammer function is steadily dying on and ive seen the Milwaukee v18 loktor hammer combi with 2 batteries, charger and case at costco for £200 and i'm very tempted, but ive never used a Milwaukee tool before and would appreciate any opinions.

many thanks

Milwaukee..... we have a few bits of it at work, although no cordless stuff.

Look out for things like reverse switches in stupid places, that you need two hands to operate...
:?
Generall construction is pretty solid though, we certainly give it some hammering, and it rarely gives up. :thumbright:

Never used them myself but i hear good things, only thing i would say is watch out for after sale service as they are a difficult company to deal with and seem to change hands every couple of years.
