Ryobi One+ Lithium kit

Post by Hoovie »

Ryobi are bringing out their Lithium range and so far seen three kits:

To work out the UK£ prices generally, at the moment, divide by two and then add 10% (covers local sales taxes that are NOT shown on the sticker, plus commision on money exchange)

The 4 Tool Combo: £145

Lithium Combo Drill and Flashlight set: £100

Ryobi also have what they are calling a Lithium Upgrade Set, which is a Battery and a Charger: £50

The Chargers are 110V only, but given they are just providing power enought to charge a battery, a basic £10 step-down 240v-110v should be good enough to get them working in the UK.

Most of the Ryobi stuff that has current UK equivalents (i.e. Ni-Cad) seems to be priced at about or better then 50% less, especially the combo sets.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I contacted Ryobi about the Lithium ion stuff a little while ago and they are due to be released here in January/Febuary time.
