Went to B&Q today and came out £26 lighter. Bought the Ryobi 4v lithium screw driver. Seemed like a better deal than the Bosch which was a lot more expensive and had no torque settings......and it's a nicer colour.

Hi Smiffy,
I was looking at the same product and was thinking of purchasing it. How is it as a tool. How long does it take to charge the screwdriver.

Only got it this afternoon and it is still on charge. The manual says three hours for a full charge. I keep going out to the kitchen to check because I want to play with it. I've seen it mentioned elsewhere on this site, will try and find which forum it is in and let you know.
Anyway, first impressions before using it are good. Nicely made, good accessories and good storage case. Not one of the usual blow-moulded efforts that take up as much space as a suitcase.
I don't know how long B&Q have it on offer but if you can spare £26 I'd get one. You can always ebay it if you change your mind.

The Weegie Long time getting back but I've had a good go with it now and guess what, I took it back and got a refund. Initial charge took four hours. OK I thought it is new give it a chance, but the second charge took six hours from flat (thats a lot of tea and digestives). This is the first Ryobi tool that I haven't been happy with. Luckily B&Q do their 90 day refund promise so no hassle.

Hi smiffy,
I bought the same screwdriver on boxing day. Not had a chance to use it. Don't think I will now after reading your update.
Strange how it took 6 hours on the second charge
That is a big disapointment.
I presummed the battery would be better due to it being lithium-ion.

Would suit flat-pack construction OK. Cannot remember if there were any Allen Key bits in the set, you'll need them for flat-Pack. The Bosch screwdrivers that I looked at did not have any torque settings, very useful on small screws or going into the edge of chipboard or similar. In your case the Ryobi will probably suit. I don't know if B&Q still have the offer on but in the sales you will hopefully pick up a bargain.

Telmay,
I don't know if I read your post correctly. Are you saying that you use your bosch with the charger still attached to it.
