TV's
My long and trusted 48" CRT JVC died two weeks ago so I was using my spare telly, until it died half way through the Richard III programme tonight. I did try to watch the rest of it on the net but the video was that stuttery I would have had to keep flicking the light switch on and off to make it look like it was seamless. I'm working down Woking on Friday for 10 days so its pointless buying another telly because, knowing my luck, I'll get burgled!
The JVC is now sitting on its back in my front room as a coffee table (because its too heavy to shift any further)
Grumpy corner - got my slippers on and I am staying here!

Re: TV's
I think I am going to have to find out what the inside of my pockets feel like and get a new one. When I got up this morning tried the spare telly and it came on no worries. I've not long finished, cracked open a beer telly now deciding to do nothing - relying on the iPlayer etc for my evenings viewing. Does Babestation have their version of it?

I've got lots of links that are in my favourites that are far better than "Babe station".....

Re: TV's
If it was me, I'd plug in a 15 quid TV tuner and use my laptop.
If you've got Windows 7/8/Vista or XP MCE, then you'd get all the freeview channels, pause record, guide, etc......Can do that in Linux too....right
(seriously, I know you can....Myth, etc).
Or do you have a desktop PC? might have a card laying around....?
