Before I start, please no lectures. This is the fault of the DIY store and Dad.
I wanted my wooden floor boards stained when decorating my room. The floors are the originals from when the house was built. My Dad went to DIY store to get stain and asked what would be the best for interior use. The guy working there gave him this stain and my Dad carried on working with it (without reading the tin). It wasn't until I tried touching it the next day I realised it was still sticky. My suspicions were raised, espeically since I seen a picture of an outfoor SHED on the front of the tin. I read the back and it said recommended for exterior use only. That was Monday, it's now Thursday and still really sticky. I don't think my Dad has any intention of lifting it, rather, a solution to this problem. Is there any way we can seal it or help it dry? Please, again, no lectures.. just solutions.
Exterior stain on interior floors.

Re: Exterior stain on interior floors.
No lectures from me...But even an exterior stain would be dry by now if applied in accordance with the MI's ...which would have been found by reading the instructions on the tin...
SFAIA there is nothing you can do to aid drying, other than ventilating the room.
In the meantime, I would be asking questions of the DIY store regards compensation for their P155 poor advice...

Yeah.. it seems very strange. On the tin it says dry's within 24 hours with ventilation and in 20c heat.. which is impossible as it's 4c outside! Will give this a go.
Thanks

Re: Exterior stain on interior floors.
Okay, phoned the DIY store and they said leave the window open during the day and the heat on during the night.. it either works, we get robbed or have a really large heating bill.
