HELP Dishwasher Vs Plinth

Hi, I have just had an intergrated dishwasher installed but the plinth underneath has now been cut to accommodate the front door to the dishwasher when it is opened. This means when it is closed up there is a massive big black hole in the plinth which looks ugly.
As I have enough plinth to start again could anybody advise me on how to overcome this issue Please

The plinth will be correct. It needs to reduce down in height for the door to open and close.

So basically the whole length of plinth needs to be reduced in height rather than just under the dishwasher?

The plinth needs cutting down to allow the door to open but I'm wondering if somebody got a bit saw happy and trimmed more than needed.

They need trimming down from anything between 5mm and 30mm depending on the dishwasher / kitchen

Just under the dishwasher. That is normally 20mm lower than the rest of the plinth.

Suck it and see as it may be 15mm. So make it 15 less and see if it is clear of the door when opened.

No just under the dishwasher.

Fit the kicker board untrimmed, open dishwasher and see where it hits, mark it and then trim 3 or 4 mm below this

Hi,
When the door is down it fits snug into the space that's been cut into the plinth so I imagine that can't be reduced. It just looks so bad especially as its facing you when you enter the kitchen!
Is there no other way ie height of dishwasher etc?

Usually it is hardly visible, but may depend on how far away you are standing - I've attached a couple of examples.

Is there no other way ie height of dishwasher etc?

It could be that it needs jacking up higher, some of the leg mechanisms on these things are on the fragile side, possibly the fitting has become knackered it and won't work. Is there a gap over the top of the dishwasher? (between the dishwasher and the underside of w/top)

Is the dishwasher right back to the wall, or is there an obstruction behind it?

There appears to be more cut that necessary when the door is down but I've included the top of the dishwasher showing the distance from the top of the dishwasher to the worktop. Also when I took these I've now noticed the cut isn't the straightest.

Any solutions??

Surely they've fitted the dishwasher wrong - they are usually tight up against the worktop with no gap at the top - what make / model is it?

Where did the kitchen come from? Cos if its a Wickes or Benchmarx kitchen then due to the height of e fascias then the dishwasher does need to sit lower but only 15mm that looks to be 40 odd! But it is usual to reduce the plinth by 15mm under the dishwasher so the door will open fully, I admit its not e very clean cut and it doesn't look like its been re edged either.

Its a Neff dishwasher and the Kitchen is from DIY-Kitchens (ultima furnishings)

I think from what I you guys are telling me is that the dishwasher is set to low which when adjusted up will allow the cut into the plinth to be less...i think??
